Kate is a lifelong equine enthusiast and rider. She began riding horses at the age of three with her arms wrapped around her mother’s waist on the bare back of their old Appaloosa, Bonnet. Her childhood and teenage years consisted of training her horses and horse showing at recognized USDF dressage shows throughout New England & New York. At fourteen-years-old Kate began teaching riding lessons every summer. She then attended the University of Vermont and competed on the UVM Dressage Team.
In 2009 Kate founded Ahaso Hill Farm, a full-time teaching and training program which she ran through two local farms. She taught students of all ages and abilities, with a focus on dressage, and an emphasis on a happy, harmonious, and balanced horse and rider team.
Kate taught riding lessons, trained, and boarded horses for a living for over a decade before transitioning to her work towards wellness practices with horses and people.
